Sean Farber - Vocals Mike Kameron - Keyboards, Additional Vocals Eyal Levi - Guitar, Synth Emil Werstler - Guitar Jeremy Creamer - Bass Kevin Talley - Drums Unearth brought with them to Exeter Lemongrove a four-band metalfest gig that produced enough energy and adrenaline to keep any mosh pit at fever pitch. First band up was Daath, with new album “The Hinderers” to promote, they are a superb power metal band from Atlanta with the looks and sound to become a name to be reckoned with, a full on Coronor like sound but with a huge stage presence, they got the gig off to a great start with their own particular slant on the death metal theme, a glorious fusion of thrash, death and black metal as they call it “Extreme metal with a purpose”, coupled with a high energy and high intensity stage show the night couldn’t have had a better start. |

Alex Erian - vocals Despised Icon quickly followed, hailing from Monteal they are a vibrating wall of noise spearheading the drive of Canadian Metal, with two front men producing vocal noises that would not be out of place emanating from Napalm Death, the crowd loved them, I was less than enthralled, but you cannot knock their performance which kicked the crowd up into the next gear with their attitude and total commitment to getting the crowd involved. |

Guitar = Bobby Thompson Guitar = Ravi Bhadriraju Bass = Brent Riggs Vocals = Jonny Davy Drums = Jon “The Charn” Rice Job For A Cowboy an export of Glendale, Arizona, were the final support on offer, and with their slightly more Pantera like sound produced a set of bone-crunching, spine tingling power chorded pure metal, that I have not heard for quite a while. Out in support of their fourth album “Geneis” they are a fast and furious pure deathcore sound that hits you hard and stays with you throughout the set. They used every corner of the small stage to their full advantage to show what they are capable of and whip the mosh pit up again into its final rehearsal before the arrival of the headliners. |

Vocals - Trevor Phipps
Guitar - Ken Susi
Guitar - Buz McGraw
Bass - John Maggard
Drums - Mike Justian As Boston’s finest metallers Unearth hit the stage, you could feel the atmosphere rise two or three notches, and as they blasted into the first number they band grabbed control of the gig and didn’t let go until the final chord had ripped through the amps. They proved to be even more dynamic then those they followed, guitarists Ken Susi and Buz McGrath, Bassist, John Maggard and front man/ Vocalist, Trevor Phipps, stomped, leapt and generally whizzed around the stage, jumping from stage to barrier to get in with the crowd while still managing to producing the most complete sound of the night and still managing to keep the pit at boiling point. Best track of the night Zombie Autopilot, ripped out mid set to encapsulate the essence of Unearth, and ensure, to me at least, that on their return they are going to need a bigger venue! - Awesome!!!!!
